Hmm... that is a hard one. Crying I suppose but how can you appreciate the one without the other? Laughing always makes you feel good but then again after a good cry, you also feel good. :o)

I do no think that you can have ability to laugh without ability to cry,
life comes with bouth, and if you by any freek incident loose one, your will loose other one too.
Happines and sorow comes as a pair in life and bouth make life more complete.
But by any chance if I have to hypotheticaly choose , I wood choose to loose laugh, todays times give very little to laugh, and a lott of things to cry for.
And crying means loading off heavy emotional balasts, so it has a function, off course that would mean that I will live shorter because laugh extends you life.
But that is my choice.

Have you ever laughed till you cried?
Choosing crying, the associated emotion would be laughing - and the other way around. So whatever you choose, you'd loose both.

I'd rather lose the ability to cry so when i'm upset, instead of crying i could laugh it off, everyone's a winner!

Having to choose means I am confused. If I am confused either choice will not work for me. So therefore both outcomes are the same. It makes no difference. So it does not matter. So I take the first one. because it is first.

People sometimes ask why are you sad, they say "don't be sad".
They never ask why you laugh, why are you happy?.
So if I had the the choice I'd choose not to laugh because I'm never sad.
