why is the united states so closely allied with israel and it's political baggage when we have so much of our own to deal with. how much of the anti american feelings abroad are due to this associatioon alone ?? does israel contribute anything positive to the world ??

Well, on a heavenly note....Israel is God's Country and the Bible states that He will return for His land and whoever is against it will be destroyed. For the sake of such a small piece of real estate...it isn't worth coming down on the wrong side of God.
