Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit does that get on my nerves!!! ALL the girls at my (all girl, preppy) high school talked like that!! It really grates on my ears. A ten word sentence and 5 words out of it are "like"....every other word!! I once counted during this girl's presentation in one of my classes because it was a real bad habit of hers. In 3 minutes, she said it 37 times...it was only necessary for the sentence 12 times....AAAAAAAAARGH!!! DAMN THAT WORD!!

My child did this for a while after he started watching "Scooby Doo." Very irritating.

All the girls in my classes use it. It is a bit the same as attending a photography convention----Leica this-----Leica that.
