As a founding member of the WTBA, I believe it is a very demanding sport as it draws upon a very unique collection of athletic skills, including hand-eye coordination, fearlessness (our association just started requiring players to wear helmets during international matches) and tremendous upper body strength. There is nothing quite so fierce as watching two tetherballers doing battle to win the rubber game of a best of 13 competition....

Okay, back to reality: I also think it's more of a game than a sport.
