do i list the colleges that i want it to be sent it while registering for the SAT?

You send it to them by asking them to report your scores to certain colleges.

the easiest way is to include them in your list of colleges when you sign up for the test

ACT (and I believe SAT also) will send your results to several colleges (I think 4) for free and you can pay a few bucks for every additional college you want them to send it to

some colleges will only accepts scores that come directly from the testing agency

if you sign up for a test on-line, it is easy to choose colleges you want to have scores sent to (at least it is easy if you are choosing listed colleges in the USA, I don't know about foriegn universities, but even very small US colleges were listed)

When you take your SAT and ACT, they ask where you want your scores sent. Then if you change your mind, they will send them to which ever college you want.

When you do the application you put in the college's code, then after it is tested the score is sent to them.
