Well, my son said he can't do his college summer school homework on his wireless laptop because the upstairs neighbor went home for the summer. I am beginning to suspect he is not paying for that Internet connection!

I only do that when our internet at home is down... "Ted's'' network is always open... if I ever meet him I'll say thanks.

The first night in this apartment, the cable wans't on yet... we used TEDs network to order pizza. :-)

You should be careful though, if someone else catches you on their network they can do some damage to your stuff... once you are on their network... its pretty easy.

I don't call it ripping off....I call it unpermitted borrowing. Besides if they are not smart enough to password protect it then they deserve to have it ripped off.

not me but when my net dies i use someone wireless connection with my laptop that has a wireless card built in.

haha I do that alot, just don't do any banking or anything like that over such an unsecured network!
