Why with all the spell checkers we can use these days, is some of the spelling so bad on here?

That is a darn good question. It seems people just don't care that they appear like fools. The spell check link is right above the text box.

Yahoo's spelling checker doesn't work sometimes, that a fact !! I had numerous experiences using it. I reported it to yahoo but I think it will take some time to fix this issue. You try spelling something wrong, it ignores once in a while, that can be one of the reasons.

It is the speed that people are typing to answer others questions that causes spelling mistakes. It is a question of timing! Luckily, I'm using Dragon naturally speaking, it is the software where I can speak into the computer and it types up what I'm saying to it. Hope this answer your question!!!

Why are all you spelling police obsessed with spelling? Who cares if it's spelt wrong. Shakespear couldn't spell. Spelling isn't an important measure of anything.
