What is your opinion on animals being used in medical tests?
I'm against it for ANY reason. I don't think it's EVER acceptable. The animals have no voice. They can't give permission to be injected with cancer, or to have ears grown on their backs. They need to find another way. Death row inmates for starters.

Actually my mom died from cancer, and she was TOTALLY against it to. SO yes i've lost people, it's still NEVER ok to test on animals. they are innocent victims who can't speak up for themselves.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one.
Why is it so horrific to test mildly dangerous products on Humans, but it's perfectly okay to test potentially deadly products on other Animals?
Human Beings are Animals too!
So what makes Humans so much more precious than any other kind of Animal, especially when the products we are testing are being made for us & not them?
Unless the products we are testing are designed for those specific Animals, they souldn't be used as test tools for Humans.
Likewise, unless the product is designed for Humans, we shouldn't be used as test tools for other Animals.
That's just the way it is.
Especially considering that these Animals are a completely different spieces of Animal than Humans, & therefore have completely different biological structures than we do.
It essentially seems like a pointless idea to compare one Animal's reaction to a product to what another Animal's (i.e. Human's) possible reaction might be.
What works for one Animal may not necessarily work on another Animal (i.e. a Human).
When we are designing a product for an Animal, that product is always tested on that same Animal, not Humans.
So likewise, if we are designing a product for Humans, it should be tested on Humans, not other Animals, like Monkeys, or Pigs or even Rats.
Human products should be tested on Human testers.
That's just the way it is.

Scientists are trying to find a cure for my disability by testing on mice with my same condition. I'm for medical testing on animals, but I'm against cosmetic testing on them.

Ever been sick? Have a family member need a transplant? Know someone with cancer? Animal testing saved there lives. Animal testing is what helps you get better after to you take your medication. My mother had cancer on her bladder. I thank everyday that sh'es here. If it weren't for animal testing she wouldn't be. At least these animals have a purpose. Hundreds of thousands of animals get put down in animals shelters every year just because no one wants them

I'm against it too. How are the tests going to better humanity? All it does is allow big business to make a ton of money on drugs that make people worse.

I think it's very wrong, but on the other hand, would be so cool, if they found a cure for cancer, or Aids, or help a paralyzed person walk !! if they really wanna know if something works, try it out on people in Prison !!

Other medications, including insulin, penicillin, painkillers and chemotherapy, as well as medical devices such as pacemakers, artificial hearts and valves, and artificial hips and knees, were also made possible by medical research involving animals.
I suppose the anti-testing people also condone the firebombing of research labs?
I respect your opinion, I'm just stating pure fact.

I feel bad for them.Im against animal testing...Esp just for makeup -.-!!Its like if A is sick they can test on B to find a cure.And if B didnt turn out as expected they test on other i guess.

I think they use animals to test drugs and doubt it really proves anything a waste of money and animal lives.
