I have wondered the same thing. Her comments lack substance and are cruel. I think people who like her agree with her political stance and find her cruelty funny in some way.

Ultimately, she's just an attention whore looking to sell books. Someone else answered your question and compared her to Michael Moore. That is a false comparison. Michael Moore has never called for the assassination of anyone, no matter how much he disagreed with them. Coulter has - see the link below.

Ann Coulter appeals to the ignorant, the uneducated, the kind of people who don't want to think or form a opinion on their own. She plays the blame game which is so fashionable these days in the media where the left blames the right and vice versa. The mentality of blaming the other side does nothing to resolve anything but does keep the population distracted and at each others throats. She tells the average american what they want to hear and makes alot of money doing it, if you really listen to her there is no substance to what she says.

Don't most people support freedom of speech?
Isn't it good to have a diversity of opinions?
What's wrong with heariing views you don't agree with?

Maybe people like to hear views that are not already abundantly expressed in every avenue of the mass media.

I like her views on how to prosecute a war on terror. Treat it like a real war. If a newspaper publishes military and intelligence secrets that aid the enemy DURING TIME OF WAR they should be prosecuted for Treason. When was the last tiime the NY Times revealed a secret of Al Qaida? Why do they only tell military and intelligence secrets of the US. If the NY Times is justified, let them explain that in court.

Because they actually like George Bush and she is George Bush dressed in drag, just check out the Adams apple and you can see they are the same. Another theory is that she tells them what they want to hear, never mind the facts they are not important.

Because, they embrace the extreme flavor of her writing. Same question "why do some people like Michael Moore?"

Both a crazies, both are people who distort the truth.

I like her because some of her words are pretty funny and pretty right on from a conservative point of view. She's gutsy and she tells it like it is, even though it may sting the ones she's attacking. i.e.....the new millionaire wives. She has dealt with attacks from the left and they do attack and attack hard. The left has a tendency to get especially offended if they are attacked in return. Fair is fair.

If you ignore all of her rhetoric and just look at what she is trying to say, she actually has some pretty good points
