it wont turn on and some of the buttons are jammed with sand

did you get insurance on it? mine just stopped working because i dropped it so i sent it in and they gave me a new one, contact the company and see what you can do. For the mean time, as an attempt to get it to work. Remove the battery find a lamp and place the iriver just above the bulb, then find another lamp and put the battery above it, the heat will allow it to dry and also get a toothpick and try to scrape the sand out of the buttons. i have an iriver and i swear i'm in love with it, check ya later â¥

I dont know what's iriver but maybe...
1) Buy another one
2) Where you get it? Ask the person there to repair it for you.
3) Take the sands off.

probably not, but you can try taking out the batteries, and letting the parts dry by a window. If not, go buy an IPOD.

let it dry our in a window sill in the sun....give it a few days....
