A mixture of lemon juice and salt left to dry in the sun works if the stain isn't too big. If it's a big stain and the fabric is white you can use Tilex (mildew bathroom cleaner). If you use it on colored fabric you end up with a tye dye effect.

Shout sometimes works, Zout is even stronger, but if you'd like to try a home-made formula, mix equal parts of water, ammonia, and dishsoap (Dawn is recommended) in a spray bottle and try that. By the way, that mixture is the best thing I've found for ring-around-the-collar and baby stains!

White vinegar... or something called Krud Kutter... for White Vinegar pour two or three capfulls in and pour regular detergent...
