Call a service in right quick to check out these "flying ants"!! I noticed some of these critters in and around my living room approx. 2 yrs. after I purchased this house. They were carpenter ants!! These critters actually destroy the wood in your building.
Discovered the previous owners had climbed on the roof and used thick, spiked nails to anchor down some roof tiles which cause the rain, etc. to leak down......this invited these little critters to lay eggs, etc. and EAT! I ended up needing to replace the entire front of my house. Incidentally, the style of this house had a Mansard roof design.

Are you sure they are "flying ants" and not termites? Also may be carpenter ants but really sounds like termites. Do you see an entrance they come and go out of?

I would try boric acid first. Make sure to not spill any in the open areas if you have small children or pets though.

Clip their tiny wings? Hire an exterminator; it sounds like termites.

You need a presure washer with a detergant part.
Put mild washing up liquid in it and blast them away.
The little buggers hate it.

You might try an indoor fogger, put inside a wall if you can. They work great, we tried one last year.
