Not if there is good quality time between mother and father and son during the week, and not if the grandma is okay and good for him to be around (grandma is also non-neglectful)...
Then, everything is fine and dandy.

I think personally that it is too early to have overnighters at all. Sometimes grandma's forget they are grandma's and think they are the Mommy's. I don't even see how the parents could stand to have their small infant away for whole weekends at a time. If it is emergencies or something that can't be helped because of work related problems, that is one thing, but just because she 'likes' to have a baby, well that is bad for all concerned. I have seen families where the little baby calls both the grandma and the mother, 'mommy.' I think the grandmother is bound to be thinking of the child as 'hers' and/or the parents to be allowed to behave as if they are still single and not to be bothered with the reality of their actions and their issue.
Sooner or later the child will have a preference as to whom they wish to be with, mind, etc. They are going to choose the one that pays the most attention to them.

I actually think so.
I couldn't imagine my son at 2 months going to his grandma''s every weekend.
Do the parents work during the week? If so when is their quality time with the baby.
That's just lazy to me, every weekend is too much.

Not if Grandma doesn't mind. I would love if my Mom helped me out like that, I could really use the break.
