OK, this is partly a joke... I saw a TV show last year, about the mayor (Alcalde) of a Puerto Rican town, pleading for help for his people, becuase the Chupa Cabra stalked the people and animals of this town... does anyone remember where this town was located? Now that I live in Puerto Rico, I have to go there!

OK, I know that in Dom Rep, Goat is Chivo... in PR it is Cabra... Chupa means to suck. Chupa Cabra refers to a vampire like creature, who apparently sucked the blood out of goats in Puerto Rico... so I don't know how they can claim to have seen the creature in these other countries, and still call it by the same name... unless we have copycat wannabe sightings... Your thoughts? It was originally a Puerto Rican phenomena, people.

Canovanas. This was several years ago, and that I know of it has not been seen in some time.

Oh you live in P.R. now! I so miss living there! I lived there in the mid-80's during my teens. I spent four full summers there and one full year. I have not been back since. I want to go back and reminiscience all of my favorite places. They make the best pina coladas there because the pinapple juice there is different from Hawaiian. Too bad they don't import it.

I too saw a program on TV about that animal in P.R. Was it somewhere near Cayey?

Several central american areas as well as Mexico. There have been sitings in Texas too. There was an interesting show on about it a few weeks ago. I think on the science channel. Maybe you could check out their site to see if they'll play it again.

I don't remember the name of the town sorry, but I do remember the sightings they mentioned in Texas and Arkansas. Since I live in that area, and have goats, my hubby really took it seriously and told me to keep a look out!
