I used to live in NJ, but then moved to PA (Job took me there) My family is originally from there & I still have relatives. The attitude of the people is what makes me laugh. The whole, "It isn't my fault, youse guys should've moved before I hit you with my car!" is priceless, they're very unpretentious, whiny & honest to the point of insult. Also, any culture you can think of lives here, not that they get along, but they live here.
The main draw for me was the people, the activities (concerts, fairs, clubs things to do!) and cheap public transportation into the city. However, I would never lived there long term, b/c the type of house I am used to would cost 800K (Not Kidding) NJ is a good state when you're young, but when you want to settle down & have kids, unless you inherit a house or rich, move. SO I guess, I'm a fair-weather friend to NJ.

I live in New Jersey. It's alright, but it's not my favorite state. I've been to thirteen other states. If I were to order them from my favorite to least, New Jersey would probably be number 5.
I mean there is a lot of stuff to do, but I don't like it much because of the way the government runs it. They just don't do a very good job with money, so yeah.
