I really liked the film because it managed to make you scared and keep you in suspense without exaggeration or showing too much blood like most thrillers nowadays.

It terrified me - it was a little too much time spent in the water, but hey, that was the movie... Overall, I thought it was good. 3 out of 4 stars.

I thought it was good. It wasn't like Jaws or a thriller with fast paced action. It was much more like real life. If you are going to get killed in that way, then the portrayal was accurate. I think real-life deaths can sneak up on you when you had no idea at all you were in danger. I liked the ending where the woman was just resigned to her inevitable violent fate. I wonder what I would have been like...I think I would have taken off my oxgyen tank too...to help speed up the process.

I do understand what you are saying and it is ture it was more realistic without too much exageration however maybe because we are used to the exagerated and computerized movies I think it was a bit borring however they got the meaning and entertainment across so it is ok.

I didn't think it was the greatest film ever made, but it did re-install my fear of the sea! I never ever go in the sea, I am s***scared of it! I know that there is a shark out there somewhere looking for me...!

well like THe Perfect Storm,

No one knows 100% what happened.
the only clue as to what happened to the couple is the camera they recovered from the shark in the credits (actual foottage)
