do the one that interests you the most....or maybe even something else that interests you even more than either of these.
Most jobs are going to have some mundane tasks that are just part of the job. But overall a job is what you make of it. Do it well, have fun with the people you work around, and try to pick something you're interested in. If it turns out you don't like it, you can try something else. DON'T worry about the money. The money will come when your doing somethng well that you enjoy.

Anything in the medical profession is going to be in increasing demand in the future. The more important part of your question
is which won't be a mundane routine job, If you like people and helping others I'd say go with the Pharmaceutical. A lot of
engineers are cold, calculating robotic kind of people. I know of two of them and hate them both.

Which one to choose depends entirely on your personality; which one interests you most? What do you think you would be more satisfied with--being a pharmacist and providing medications and information or being part of city developments?

Civil engineering leads to a wide variety of jobs, so it's impossible to say if your future job in that field would be mundane or not. I would imagine if you didn't want a mundane job in the field, you would set yourself up to get a job that isn't mundane.

Don't think about in terms of job prospects; if your heart isn't really in it, you'll grow bored and unhappy. Figure out which one is most likely to really give you personal satisfaction.

From a career aspect I would suspect pharmaceuticals. They demographic trend would favor it, the globalization trend would probablt outsource most engineering work to lower paid engineers overseas.
