They have the right to have a club, publish their pamphlets, or anything else they do that is not illegal.
I have been approached by them. I just say thank you and go on about my business. The have no power over me because I ignore them.
I respect thier rights, and I respect the rights of those that they have chosen to hate.
If everyone does like I do, the Klan will be a non-issue.
The good news is, most people are like me!. The Klan is , for the most part, a thing of the past.

The KKK and other groups like it will continue to be a problem to society and individuals as long as ignorant assumptions scare/bother people. Intolerance comes from not understanding.

KKK will be a non issue until they cease to exist. Until then they will be an issue at least to a few people.

I'd wait a bit before I wrote the obit. Keep in mind that they are part of the mix of hate groups in the U.S. and to quote the brave folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center:
"Fueled by belligerent tactics and attention-getting publicity stunts, the number of hate groups in America rose 5% in 2005, capping a 33% rise over five years."
These people do their homework tracking and watching all home-grown proto--terrorist and hate groups. We can't let our guard down on this because these groups exploit existing prejudices and discontent. They also appeal to the sector of society that's vulnerable to the shriller "Christian" messages about "where the nation is headed."

I think they're pretty much a thing of the past already. I mean, how often do you hear about politicians trying to figure out ways to get the Klan vote?

Probably not... I pray they would be but unfortunately they refuse to roll over and die quietly...they won't be going out so fast and then they won't give up without a fight. But everyone else outnumbers them anyway so f*ck 'em!!
