That is the only world religion I have a hard time tolerating. I don't like alot of them as they tend to be mean and judgemental to others. They want to preach about the so called love of jesus and yet not like to act like that. That makes no sense to me!

No. Some people will be mean and judgemental no matter what religion they are. Christain, Catholic, Buddist, Jewish, Mormon, or Athiest or whatever. There are people at the chuch i attend that are nice, but there are also some very nasty people. But i have lots of friends in other religions that are very nice.

And really, if they are being mean and judgemental, they aren't being true Christians. Christians are supposed to not judge others or put them down or think that they are petter than others. I Haven't had many experiences with people putting me down for my religion, or another religion being mean in general, but the bad experiences I've had ahve been countered by the numerous good experiences i've had with others i know.

well if you think they have no right to judge you then what gives you the right to them? they're opinionated and unlike most religions they accept people for whatever religion they are, other religions believe that if you don't believe in their god you don't' deserve to be on this earth but Christians believe everyone has a place in the world and they only want to spread the word of god, what ever kind of christian they are they still have faith, i however am an atheist but i still think the way you're judging them is making you a hypocrite.

I am sorry you have run into that problem. Christians are people too, with all the same emotions and prejudices as everyone else. I hope you will read the Bible for yourself and not let a bunch of flawed people cause you to reject Jesus. Jesus does love you and he will help you find your way if you let him.

Some Christians are, some aren't. I don't think Christianity monopolizes this particular characteristic.

(But with that said, YES - there are some that would qualify as mean and judgemental.)

It makes perfect sense. If you whole-heartedly believe something, you completely know it's true (or at least think you know), virtually nothing outside your community of faith (except yourself) is going to be able to deter your faith. To them, it's so obvious that what they believe is true, they can't understand why everyone else doesn't see it, therefore, everybody must be stupid or blind somehow.

Of course, not every Christian is that way, but there are some who are.

Higher standards cause more failure.
It's the same with religion as it is with academics.
