NO KIDDING! It's really shocking what some people will do.
I've learned that not everyone grew up like I (we) did.
Parents don't teach their kids manners and discipline anymore.
Wow. I sounds like I'm 80 and I'm only 27!

As I read the responses posted to many questions here, I would have to say the answer is YES. Many of the respondents are upset by lack of morals or manners. So, there seems to be a resurgence of manners, and I'm glad to see it happening.

Yes. Unfortunately, the people we remember are the ones with no manners. Next time you are out, look for the polite ones, you might be surprised at how many you find.

This seems increasingly lost. No one seems to know, for instance, not to slam their car doors or house doors which disturbs the neighbors. I learned not to slam doors from my grandfather born in 1902! Even my Mom slams doors!
I think that Americans just don't know better. No one tells them. I think the average American has good intent and would try if they knew.
In Switzerland where there are laws against noise after certain time and so they know better they make noise anyway. They are just a disrespectful people.
I was so embarrassed when Bush was caught on camera slumping and talking with his mouth full of food. Even officially on camera he has been slumping! And, he is our head of state! Has any other head of state of a world power done this in history? I think not!

No, because TV and lack of parenting when young has distorted peoples values and morals; which, leads to bad manners.

I do , but no they don't seem to have manners anymore. I think it is rude to talk on cell phone all the time espically when you are with somone and people call your house who is this,. I always say who are you. I taught my children to say yes Mam or sir ,to say thankyou be respectful to your elders. but they still do things I consider rude
