Try to focus on the joy it will bring to your friend, and then, do something really nice for yourself. It WAS very nice of you to give it to your friend. You're a good person!

What are you filled with regret from? Buying the bag so cheaply at a charity shop or giving it away?

Why are you filled with regret? Get yourself a different handbag, I was always told its better to give than to receive

Live with the regret or without the friend.
It's a choice, just like the last one you made.

Nothing. You gave it to a friend. Lesson learned here. Do not ask for it back - that would be wrong in more than one way.

Why ? you have gave your friend a present which i am sure she appreciates it would be wrong of you to ask for it back you wouldn't like it if she done it to you. As you are friends i am sure she would lend it to you wouldn't that be better
