Red light means you must stop, Green means you may go. Yellow means to stop if it is safe to do so. At a 4 way stop sign if 2 cars stop at approx, the same time, yield to the person on the right. This should help but if I may ask, how did you manage to get a driver's license if you haven't figured out basic rules of the road.

It depends on what state you live in, as different states have different rules of the road. For example, in CA it is permissible to make a right turn, after stopping and no traffic approaching, at a red light. In NY, for example, it is not permitted.

Also, in CA it is permitted to make a left hand turn in the same circumstances when turning onto a one way street, where traffic moves from right to left.

At stop signs, when two cars stop at the same time, the car on the right has the right of way. At 4 wat stop signs, proceed in the same order that the cars stopped.

A flashing yellow light at an intersection means "caution." A flashing red means stop and go, with the same rules as a stop sign.

Green, of course means proceed. Contrary to popular belief, yellow does not mean stomp on the gas to get through the intersection before the light turns red. It means "prepare to stop."

Lighted arrows give signals for the direction that the arrow indicates.

As I said, these are the rules for CA. Your state may differ.

Even if you have the right of way, assume the other driver doesn't know it, and LOOK both ways before entering an intersection.

Good Luck.

At four way stop, the car on the right goes first. At a two way stop, through traffic has the right of way, the person going straight of making a right turn goes next and then the person making a left turn. At lights, persons going straight and making right turns have the right of way on green and then those making left turns when the road is clear.

Traffic lights are simple - Green = go, Red = stop

Stop signs - simple also. 4-way stop = the first car to stop is the first car to go. If 2 stop at exactly the same time and are on perpendicular paths, the car on the far right has right of way.

Any help?

at a stop sign who ever gets there first goes first if all 4 of you come to a stop at the same time the person on your right goes first. at a stop light when ur going straight u can only go on green u must stop on red. if ur turning right and its green u can go if its red u must stop and look to see if its ok to go when ur turning left u can go on green but it has to be clear from the other direction if u have a green arrow u can go and not have to worry about the other lane of traffic i explained this as best as i could its alot easier to show in person but Good Luck :-)

The person to the right of you goes first.
If its 2 people that get there, the person who was there first goes first.
And if one person is goign straight and one is turning the person who goes straight usually goes first, btu if the person who was turning was there first they usually go.
There is always a nice person that will let you go, and there is always the jacka$$ who will turn in front of you and flip you off.

OMG! If you don't know this, please don't drive! Go and get a driver's training manual from your nearest driver training center and study it from front to back. Go now!

At a four-way or all-way stop, the person who stopped first on the right-hand side of you goes first.
