No doctor or lawyer that I know would work for $6,000 a month--that's a joke.

I feel bad for the guy whose mother was worked for 30 years and still isn't making $60K. Tell her to go ask for a raise.

But I doubt you could start as a nurse for $60K. And the rural areas might pay a lot less.

you arent gonna make 6K a month as a nurse. Thats Doctor lawyer kinda pay.

Edit: 6K times 12 is 72000 not 60,000. Second off she asked what she could make with her BSN, which is not that much. Like I mentioned, my mother works has 30 years of experience, and does not make that much money. Of course someone with their MS in nursing is going to make more, thats common sense, but that wasnt the question. When I said doctors and lawyers I meant more like starting pay, it takes awhile to get up into 6 figures even in those professions.

I have to correct the first guy on his answer. It depends on your qualifications and experience as a nurse, and the labor market in which you're working. I know a nurse practitioner (master's degree level) who works as a director in a nursing care facility, and she makes 7 grand a month in Ohio. If you just have a BS (RN), you're not going to make that much, no...unless you further your career with education and experience. Also, VP of nursing in hospitals make that much or more, depending on the area.

Nurses can and do make that kind of money (at least it big metro areas), teachers (again, in big metro areas), outside salespeople, managers of McDonald's (yep, it's true), auto mechanics, plumbers, heck, there are tons of jobs that pay that, but you have to be able to work for it.

It is difficult to earn a salary of that size without your own business. I would sugest http://www.lucygreen.com and look into network marketing.
