A degree is only as important as the goals you have for yourself. Ask yourself why you are considering a masters degree. How would it be important to you personally? If you can't answer that, then reconsider.

Probably not necessarily. Start off with associates then go from there. Sometimes companies would like for you to at least have that. The pay range is the difference I think.
