Sometimes when I have a bad day at work, I'll come home and try to act like nothing is wrong but eventually I'll get irritated and somehow take it out on my husband. He may have had something like that happen. You're not supposed to take your work frustrations home with you, but sometimes that's easier said than done.

i believe that your husband is unhappy and is probably fooling around. therefore he comes home and plays happy for a few mins. because he feels guilty and then he starts an argument and says thing ugly to make you feel bad and make himself feel better about what he is doing. this way if you argue back this gives him a reason for leaving the house again without you.

Several possibilities.
1. Stress at work that he is taking out on you.
2. Physical problems such as depression.
3. He could be cheating. Husbands often pick fights with their spouse when they are cheating. It makes them feel justified if they can tell themselves their wife is a *****. This usually occurs when you are being your nicest and they feel guilty.

It's like he's trying to make things work with you but can only keep the act up for a short amount of time before it shows through how unhappy he is.
I'm sorry. I hope for your sake I'm not right, but to me that's what it seems like.

There is no way to know what is going on, but I can understand why you are concerned. Can you take a walk and talk? Try to get to the real issue- what is making him irritable. It might not be related to your marriage at all.
Best wishes to you!

I think it is Hot and men are very moody when they get hot. Men go via their little times of the month too, they just don't wear a pad to prove it. Talk to him about it if you are concerned, but more than likely it is just his time of the month.

Maybe he had a long day at work and just needed to be alone for a little while.

Is he drinking? Men who drink often tend to be edgy out of no where. My dad was like that.
