You must be over 18 to get a tattoo... or your parents supervision.

But wait til your older anyways and think long and hard of what you would like to get inked with. You don't want to get a tat of some cartoon character you like now because with age your perception and likes change as you get older. Do research now, think of things that are important to you that will never change in your life... like your horoscope or something.
I am 25 and still no tattoo because I want something that I don't wanna regret and a place that i will regret. Who really wants saggy tats on their arms or back when they are 75 years old? Not me!

It Is Illegal In Most States, But Alot Of Tattoo Parlors Will Give You A Tattoo With A Permission Slip and / or Parental Guidance

You will have to bring your parent or guardian in with you and they have to give consent for you to be tattooed. And yes, a good tattoo parlor will not permit a minor to get tattooed without a parent or guardian present.

A good tattoo parlor will not let you get one at all unless you're 18. Most states will allow you to get one with a parent or guardian present. I'd hold off on that for awhile.

Some tattoo parlous allowed it without parents permission, but others need your parents permission for it. Which means one of your parents must come with you and sign the form for it. Some don't allow it unless you are over the age of 18. I will call and find out first.

no you have to be 18, in some statues thats the bottom line but others can be waived by a parent or guardian, you should just check out your local tattoo shops and see what your options are.

Some will allow with the parents present and with a signature. But others, you must be 18. Period.
