Your best bet is to contact a lawyer so you can have some guidance and make sure you get everything you need in order to have your emancipation become a success. If a lawyer is out of the question you would need to contact someone who knew exactly what type of paperwork you needed to file, and also what you had to do to prove you can live on your own (each state has different laws). You might try talking to your country clerks office, but a lawyer might be more of an ideal person to help you through.

other wise
you must be able to prove that you can support yourself.
you must have a place to live
most states also want a valid reason why you want to be emancipated such as abuse, negletc ect.
