Well, legally I don't think there is a problem. But, the fact he is related to you and you know this does pose a kind of moral dilemma. There are just way too many people out there who aren't related to you, for you to be looking in your own family for a date.
Even though it might not be illegal, it still might not be the best thing to pursue.

2nd cousin isnt legally wrong, I dont think, now morally is the major question here, my opinion here is, I dont know, it depends on how you feel about it. society in general may frown upon it because it isnt a "norm" but who cares what the "norm" is, be yourself... I say if he finds nothing wrong with it and your family doesnt disown you, go for it, see what he thinks...
