best XP feature cure all for Virus attacks or anything that rewrites/overwrites your Registry ( i know computer geeks don't use it being so easy and all but why don't others ?) I base this on yahoo answers questions (and no i am not going to explain it go to System Maint and try it - fully reversable and fool proof)

1. when you install new software you create a new restore point automaticly you just have to run it again YOU DO NOT LOSE ANY SAVED FILES !
2.the virus is GONE it rewrites the Registry u do know what the Registry is don't you(unless you download it again)
3.it is REVERSABLE you can go back if you don't like the changes

I tried it but not for a virus. I could not use acitve x to delete a corrupted program but system restore did not work for that problem.

System Restore isnt always the answer and can screw things up as well, like delete files/upgrades you may need.
