I had my two boys Baptised in England, and we just put £20.00 in an envelope for the priest. I don't think there is a cost as such, but you are expected to make a donation. Don't forget the Catholic church is the richest bank in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

in ireland u dont have to pay.u give the priest a donanation aroud 100euros,its really up to urself.the party after will cost a lot more.u have to do a christening course as well,just the parents and godparents attend it for a couple of hours,ur priest will tell u all about it.

If you are talking about the church, you are not required to pay anything and if you choose to make a donation I would suggest the equivelent of $50 USD...you shouldn't feel that you have to though so only do it because it's in your heart
