the air flow is also pretty slow coming out of the vents. wrong time of year for this to be happening.

Your coils are dirty, pull the front off and with a soft brisle brush go in one direction and get the dust out , careful not to bend the fins, they are very important they must be uniform, they conduct the heat in the air and the air flow, clean the coils

Your coils are frosted. You need to turn off your air conditioner and let the coils defrost (several hours). If that doesn't work, you may need to get a repair person out to look at it.

Probably because your coils are clogged. Call a serviceman.
