Theres probably a reason that she said that. Sometimes it seems like moms are being unreasonable, but they always have a reason for doing what they do. I suggest that you calm down, and go and talk to her about it (without getting into an argument) and try to understand her reasoning. You may be able to work something out if you can prove to her that you are going to be mature about handling the situation.
If your best friend is really your best friend, she will be sad that she cant share today with you, but she shouldn't be mad at you (unless you misbehaved and thats why your mom said you couldnt go). It doesnt seem like it now but there will be other parties and other chances to have fun.
Be calm, and try to work out a compromise and find out the reasons why your mom says that you can't go.

Its not the matter of dieing, But u have a very good chance of making your friend suprise, by gifting her a very fond of thing.
Sometimes time doesn't permit us to do what we want.But never feel bad on you.
give respect to elders and follow, because they are experienced than us. they will predict some bad , thats why your mother may not allow you to go .

You may not see it right now, but I am sure your mother has a perfectly good reason why she has changed her mind. I know this is not what you want to hear, but later in life maybe you will understand. As for your best friend I think she will understand, maybe. I wish you the best of luck.

no no no...don't die..just ask Kristal to call your mom and say that the party will not be complete unless your mom and you attend the party.......so your mom will say: "Oh,i'm sorry Kristal,i can't come...but because you called,Shelby will come and represent me"...how about that?
