I don't think anyone would choose a life with so much hatred, predjudice, discrimination and problems - it is all people talk about these days. I don't know why every1 is so worried with everyone else's sexuality - to each their own. and as far as the one answer saying they are not born that way but decide they don't like the opposite sex in childhood - that sounds like they are born that way - many people try to hide it, date opposite sex and just can't not be themselves anymore. There is a major difference is some gays - mannerisms, voices, even looks - just very feminine not masculine - so whoever said there is a difference is brains is on - there is some evidence but nothing solid yet. As for all these little kiddies going gay for the day or bi cause it is in - this is just for attention and b/c they think it's cool. I think everyone should live and let live and go their own ways.

There are a variety of studies (none of which I can reference off the top of my head) that indicate significant structural differences in brains of heterosexual and homosexual humans. A study released by only a few weeks ago shows that one is more likely to be homosexual if one has older brothers (biological, not adopted). Further, earlier studies based solely on behavioral evidence show there are sexual orientation indicators as early as 18 months. Homosexual behavior in animals is well documented as well. These seem to indicate in at least some cases, sexual orientation is biological.
As homosexuality is an "hot button" issue with many people, always be sure to investigate the source of any reports. The religious right often fabricates propaganda (or scientifically baseless data formatted into pretty charts) to support their position and the left has been known to take a very narrow view of their data to support a particular conclusion.

It is a scientific fact that the brain of homosexuals react differently than the brain of heterosexuals. It is not a choice but a born difference. While some people may choose a gay lifestyle, for many it is not a choice.

being gay myself, i know that i was born gay. it`s not because i was raised abused, dislike from men, whatever. i was born this way, and i can`t do anything about the way my mind works.
do you honestly think i CHOSE to be discriminated EVERY SINGLE DAY of my life? no! if i could choose, i would be straight, so i wouldn`t be the singled out dyke!
but it seems to be the trend now to be gay or bisexual, and for all those people out there, they CHOOSE to become gay/bisexual.
it`s really hard to tell now of days, because everyone just wants to fit in/be loved by everyone else.
now let me ask you a question. are straight people born straight? or choose to become straight?

i think the environment has a lot of influence on what a person would become so i would say that gays become gays because of their environment and they way they were brought up and not because they were born gays.

It is learnt behaviour. Are drug addicts born woth a syringe or alcohlics with a six pack of beer attatched to them? Duh? No! It's addictive learnt behaviour. If you want more info drop me a line. I've lived the life and now I no longer do, through the grace of Jesus Christ I've been set free.
