On the whole, the Irish are a lovely people, many of whom have a bounty of charm and wit; down to earth, yet philosophical. Irish folk invented some fine whiskey, excellent beer, and quite pleasant blends of tea as well. That to me illustates a generally impressive taste for some of the best little pleasures in life, not to mention great conversation. ;)

Why I might have a bit of Irish blood in my veins too, you know ;)

I may be able to help out here. You see I can trace my history right back into mythology. The time of the ancient isle of Erie. These were Celtic times and all our traditions were thought to be so powerful that we didn't dare write them down so we passed them on by stories. These stories became the basis for all we know today and the story tellers like to please their audience so they sprinkle a little pixie dust on each story till the story takes on a life of its own. Folks like entertainment and the Irish can spin a yarn faster and greater than most folk for reasons stated above, its in the blood. Were everywhere, telling our stories and being loved; its what we do!

People like the Irish because they are people just like everyone else. I happen to think people from Ireland are very fun to be around. Im not trying to be rude, but it's like asking why do you like your best friend?

I love the Irish.. Actually, I love people from all walks of life. I don't pay any attention to ethnic background prejudice and stereotypes because that is so ignorant. I pay attention to how the person treats me and then i'll judge that person. I guess to answer your question about the Irish, I think they have a beautiful accent and I love their music.

What kind of question is this?
Why do people like another race? Specifically Irish?
Why would they NOT LIKE THEM, they were actually hated long ago in the 1800's. In some areas of the world they are still NOT LIKED.
But in today's world why would anyone really NOT LIKE THEM or any other race?
Why did you single out Irish?
HOW IS IT PEOPLE LIKE YOU COME UP WITH SOME REALLY LAME QUESTIONS???
THAT is the question!

why shouldnt people like the Irish? People are people, most are lovely a few are not, its irrelevant where people are from as you have to take each one as an individual.
