The world has BEEN full of wars -- not a day in the 20th century went by without one -- long before George W. Bush came into office. Since September 11, I hate to say, the American people had their blinders forced off of them; if we didn't want to pay attention to the world before, we do now.

A world that's safer for Americans is ultimately a world safer for everyone; if we're blind, the film is slowly coming off of our eyes, and whoever's elected President in 2008 will face the same world. How people talk about us (politically, anyway) doesn't seem to keep them from McDonald's counters and the latest CDs from our shores -- two big American products. When our first-world critics realize that the United States isn't going to do everything for them, then we'll see positive change in some of the current conflicts. What's scary is that the U.S. gets involved as much as it has because it seems no else cares.

I think that it is weird that people believe that President Bush is responsible for trouble of any sort in all the world. Wars have been and will be. If you don't know about other cultures and ideas, then you don't know. America is VERY unique. Most have no idea how much freedom they have though we have lost much for the sake of safety. There are good guys and bad guys. Learn the difference. It could save many lives. There is a right and a wrong. There is an absolute truth. These are not popular ideas. Then again, neither is supporting our nation. Whether you agree with our leadership or not is pointless. Once such a campaign is begun, failure to support our nation spells disaster, failure, and disgrace. I encourage you to respectfully voice your thoughts and opinion; the nation must stand together or fall together so remember the respectful part and use good sense and a conscience.

There have always been wars in the world, and there will continue to be wars throught the world. All President Bush did was put war and religion side to side, which is incredibly ignorant.
Not all Americans are blind to our president... some of us honestly do want peace in the world, but I know that it will never happen, because of people like our president.

I for one could care less how people in other countries talk about us Americans. If you think it is a bad thing that Bush went to war for us then you are crazy or don't care that we were under attack. You must not have lost someone in the twin towers or any other devastation's of 9-11. If you think that things can be settled by "talking" or what is it Make love not war you need your head examined. I for one am very proud that Bush went to war, and yes I did loose a family member in Iraq But I am proud of him because he died for our freedom to complain about him fighting.....

Is it not funny that someone wins an election and because the person did not win that some wanted than the winner stole the election... OH MY PEOPLE GET A GRIP.....

It's not weird, it was expected. When Bush stole the election, my phone rang just as this was decided. It was my elderly great aunt. She was telling me this and that about how Bush was going to start wars all over the place now that he is in office. I didn't pay much attention as I hadn't realized the importance. She went on to say that Bush is going to be a disgrace to our nation and people. I now realize that my great aunt knew what she was talking about. We should always respect the words of our elders.

The world has been full of wars since its inception. It's just that America is involved in one at the moment. And, 9/11, it has turned into a world of constant information...there never used to be news reports like there is now...everything is breaking news. It's ridiculous really...I don't need to know the moment Katie Holmes has a baby...in fact, my life would go on just fine without ever knowing that kind of stuff...I'm glad that the US has begun really reporting on the rest of the world, but the rest of the world has been happening all this time...you just haven't heard about it.

I recieved this e-mail April of 2005:

Things that make you think a little........

1. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during January.... In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq .

2. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following:

a. FDR...led us into World War II.
b. Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.
c. Truman...finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.
d. John F. Kennedy. ..started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.
e. Johnson...turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
f. Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
g. In the years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chapaquiddick

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB! The Military morale is high! The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

it's not bush's fault that they world has many wars going on right now. there were many other wars before what is going on right now. there is so much conflict right now that has nothing to do with the U.S. All of the natural disasters is God's way of showing people that he's in control and they need to turn back to him.

what I think is weird is people who tried to blame every problem in the world on Bush. come on what could one man do. try blaming problems on something else. Bush didn't create the world you know.

Even though I don't like Bush, I have a hard time following this logic as one looks back through history.
