I am a Bookkeeper & I need to learn Excel so that I can get out of my dead end job. I was told that Excel for Dummies is a good way to learn. Just to let you know I do not have a lot of cash to spend.

it depends on how deep you want to get...Excel has A LOT of features that most people don't use. you can learn a lot from books and CDs and just play around with new stuff.

Excel for Dummies is ok. i would try CDs. i think you'll get more out of it and it will be more hands on for you. i hear video professor tutorials are pretty good.

there are also a lot of FREE resourceful websites...for example...

hope that helps!
good luck and if there is anything i can help you with let me know. i'm pretty proficient in all MS Office products

Excel for dummies is a decent start. But save your money. There's a lot of online sites that have the same information, if not better, for free. The first thing you need to do is look at what version of Excel you are using, as the updates make little differences, though that's mostly in VBA and some of the pretty advanced features. Anyway, I digress....

There's a basic and free tutorial located here: http://www.usd.edu/trio/tut/excel/
Also check out sites like CNet.com and mrexcel.com

If you have to buy a book, get VBA Basics from John Walkenbach. If you can get a basic understanding of Excel, and start programming in VBA, you will blow your employers away!

I believe you should start off with summer lessons. I have been playing since I was 3 years old and am continuing still with summer lessons and I am now first singles on my team being a freshmen. It is also, important to have hand eye coordination because you will need to actually hit the ball! But you don't have to be that strong to hit a ball, but you do need some strength and running abilities. In addition, you will need to not be afraid of getting hit because during a game I dive for balls when I know I won't make it if I just ran for it and sometimes I miss and get hit with the ball. But I believe if you picked a sport, tennis would be one of the easier one's, but don't pick this sport if you enter it just because you think it is easy because it requires a lot more than people expect.
