purchase 6 darts for my friend for his birthday. He is Irish, he likes guns, knives, the Oakland Raiders, and girls. I want to buy him some better STEEL darts than he has now, because his are bad. I also want the end part to have one of those 5 different topics on it. I've looked on Amazon, but its hard to find. THANKS

I would go to ebay and browse the dart selections. The black widow is a very nice set of darts. I would also look at the Hammerhead brand. For a nice but somewhat cheaper line, try the unicorn brand. I have a set of John Lowe signature bumble bee darts that I think are great. The feather at the end of the dart is called a "flight". The flight connects to the "shaft" and the shaft connects to the "barrel".

There are numerous on-line dart shops that will have a huge variety of darts and accessories. The link below links to dozens of on-line shops. Just so you can find what you're looking for, the "end part" is called a flight.

Regarding his used darts, he may be very happy with them. Darts are extremely personalized - size, weight, balance, texture, etc. He may be ready for new ones, but he'd really have to pick them out. It would be like trying to choose his wife for him. Everyone has their own tastes.

Check out the player profiles if you want to know what darts a player shoots with.

Below you will find links to player profiles.

If you want to know the names of the players that participated in the WSoD check out the wikipedia link.

When it comes to selecting a set of darts that your friend will like I would encourage you to let him make that choice himself. You might consider looking around for a dart shop or billiard store that has a large selection of darts that will let "try before you buy" and then get a gift certificate that you can give him on his birthday.

Most pro darters use tungsten darts in play . They very best darts are tungsten with nickel alloy or silver . best ive seen are those with interchangable weights incorporated . Depending on his type of play there are a variety of heads to choose from . Thing is he will have to adapt his throw to what ever set you provide .
