y'know, i don't think i have an answer to this question. space originated in the big bang so it must be something, and the universe is seen to be understandable only with the intermingling of space and time. nothing, not even space-time, exists "outside" the universe. to quote a dead writer, "there's no there, there".

Space is filled with countless particle-antiparticle pairs which continuously jump out of nothingness for a fleeting instant and again merge back. This was theorised by the British Physicist P.A.M Dirac.

Space may be made of "quantum foam", but we're not sure. We do know that all space has energy and virtual particles that pop in and out of existence constantly.

A vacuum, which means void of all matter. But this is not "literally" true since there are suns, planets, comets, etc.

Yes, anti-matter has been theorized to fill space, but for practical purposes, I'd stick with my answer above.

Space is made of many particles that are spread out far from each other. There really is air in space, but it is REALLY thin and each particle too far apart.

the universe itself is mostly made or "dark matter" 98% of it to be presise. dark matter is belive to be anti matter meaning its th eopposite of the matter that we know about so it i said that it doesnt reflect light like normal matter and thats why we dont know what it is.and th eonly way we see it its because we ca see gravitational pulls of objects that we cannot percieve. so most of the stuff we dont even know what it is the rest is all that we do see like stars planets galaxies ect
