Yes, beckham is a dear, but isn't he married :) Well, married or not, he is still cute.
Oh, and I agree with Punkkarit, I think Ronaldo looks like a big, unsatisfied baby. At the world cup he seemed to have less energy then a sleeping snail.

Well, he guarantees that even if your team employs someone as butt ugly as Ronaldo, your fans will include plenty of women to pick up after they have gotten drunk enough to actually be able to concentrate on Ronaldo (but seriously, Ronaldo will go down as a legend.) Also, he's one of the best free kick artists ever (I personally think that wicked strike Roberto Carlos made against France where he bent it AROUND the wall (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-64098003875898399400) is the best free kick ever)
Now for the downside. Recently, he's been pretty pedestrian over there down the right. (did anybody else notice how England's pace REALLY picked up when Aaron Lennon came on?) He's never been a world class threat over there. So you trade increased revenue, happy fans with women under them, and good free kicks for essentially playing a man down.
I'll take somebody else, Ribery perhaps?

Well, I don't think he's that good of a player, but for a sex symbol he's pretty good he doesn't let all the media distract him from playing soccer, unlike Anna Kournikova for example.
