Has the trailer sat for a while? It could be that the trailer light fluid is low. Have you checked the level yet?

How did you know? just kidding , probably a bad ground wire on the trailer or your vehicle is what my husband says. There plenty of possibilities.

Usualy bad connection between ball and tounge.
There is probably no ground wire, and uses the frame as ground.
Sand the ball, and reciever to establish good connection.

replace the bulbs in it or check the wiring. match color with color and use electrical tape to cover it. u dont want them touching metal
