Well back in the day of Abraham, God cameth down from
the heavens and asketh Abraham whyeth his people
looketh like they'reth in discomfort. Abraham replies,
"My people areth not happy because theyeth have sand
in their eyes". God says, "Take thy caterpillar from
thy tree and sticketh between thy eyes and thy sand
will thy not bother thy no more". Abraham and his
people rejoiced with what God thy toldeth them.

That's the scientific explanation anyway.

I've been to Iraq 3 times and seen pretty much all their cultures, not all Iraqis have or sport the unibrow. In Baghdad you will find most of them becoming westernized. Fallujah you will find the men and women very traditional, they don't shave period. it's just their belief and how they get their respect, ( for being older, wiser) the women do 90% of all the work over there so they don't have time for the upkeep of their features. In Ramadi, you will find both, westernized and the traditionalist. I've done many patrols in each of these areas and have learned so much about them just by observation. there is more to life than just looks and although i don't care too much for Iraq and their belief's I'm still not going to judge them, having a unibrow doesn't make them any different as a person. this is a immature question and I'm sure you have a friend or two with unibrows, do they think it's cool?

This hearkens back to a Sumerian style from 3000 BCE, and possibly earlier. If one was not blessed with a unibrow naturally, it could be drawn on with kohl. It drew attention to they eyes, and may also have cut down on glare from the everpresent sun somewhat. This was also the point of the Egyptians' eyeliner. The unibrow is often startlingly portrrayed in portrait statues like this one.http://oi.uchicago.edu/OI/MUS/HIGH/OIM_A12332.html
So, an Arab who thinks a unibrow is elegant has a good sense of history!

I would imgine it's a sign of a woman not being self centered, but rather centered on her husband's needs and desires. Honestly, would you care if a woman had a unibrow if she was loyal and respectful to you to no end? Most men deal with anything as long as those two aspects are steadfast.

Not all Arabs have unibrows. Just like not all Americans are fat from eating at McDonalds. This was a stupid question, not to mention it was pretty immature.

Why do Americans feel the need to have overly white tomb stone teeth, thus rendering them looking so insincere when they smile? One would suppose and I'm coming down to your level for this answer that "Arabs" are truly more enlightened and know it doesn't matter. While yanks are just too concerned with appearance and as such are shallow!

Well it should be no mystery that the more antagonistic a nation towards the west, and the more isolated it is from western influence, the less it will have in common with the west. That is probably why they do no share our fashion sense.
