Wash face daily with hot clean water and soap. If you can see a dermatologist (skin doctor) if it doesn't clear up. You might have acne if the pimples are big and reddend, that requires special treatment. Hormone changes at that age sometimes causes pimples, with good hygiene and diet it should fade. Avoid chocolate and junk food like greasy potato chips if you are eating them.

Hi there,

What I do is I put toothpaste directly on the pimple. Just regular old toothpaste, not the gel. I put it on at night before I go to bed. Sometimes it is gone by morning, sometimes it takes a day or two. Be sure and wash your face before you put it on, and in the morning when you wake up. If it is really bad, put on the toothpaste again, in the morning. But be sure you are not going out or seeing friends that day.

I used to have acne problems & went to a dermatologist for the problem. She could inject medicine directly into the pimple & it was gone the next day. She recommended I wash my face every day (twice a day) with a soap called "Purpose." It is oil free, non-comedogenic and dermatologist recommended. I have used it for 15 years now & have not had one break out since.

Pimples are worse if your skin is dirty or oily as this clogs the skin's pores and causes pimples. Don't use soap it changes the ph of your skin. Soap is alkaline and your skin is slightly acidic. A facial cleanser that is ph balanced and medicated is better than soap. Dabbing a little tea-tree oil straight onto the pimple works well to dry them out.
