I keep hearing people say Israel is killing innocent civilians. What should they do when they are attacked, this time by hezbollah? Hezbollah uses the lebanese people as human shields and those people are stupid enough to be used that way. Why are they so surprised when 'innocent' civilians are killed? And yes it is quite sad when children are killed, I've seen the pictures. But it is better that one hundred children are killed in Lebanon than a million children in Israel, which is what would happen if Israel did not protect themselves. So how should Israel react? Please don't say with diplomacy or 'peace talk' because the islamic communties are not interested in peace and everyone knows it. They want Israel off the map and Jews off the face of the Earth.

How come nobody posts websites of blown up children when an islamic suicide bomber goes in to a marketplace or a subway ? How about when they drive passenger jets into skyscrapers filled with daycare centers and offices? Or when they blow up trains carrying innocent people?

i couldn't agree with you more.

for some reason it seems to be "en vogue" to be anti-semite these days. i say that israel HAS show incredible restraint....they could destroy the entire middle east if they wanted to just like they did in previous wars with arab states. plus they have the bomb!

hey "emily I".....i'm sorry, but it's IMPOSSIBLE for muslims to hate israel (and the US for that matter) any more than they already do! what planet have you been living on?

Israel just wants to be left alone and have a peaceful relationship with all nations.

Arabs want to destroy what is known as Israel. Why? because they fought Israel during its war for independence and lost. Arabs attacked again and agin and lost. But at least the national wars were soldier against soldier. Tank against tank. The lands that were won through bloodshed should remain under Israeli control until the Arabs agree to allow Israel to exist peacefully.

They have no more right to the land than does Mexico to Texas.

Todays war is being waged by uncivilzed people who hide behind woman and children and then wonder why innocents get hurt when Israel lashes back to defend its right to exist in peace.

Hezbollah or andy of the other extremeists are all of the same ilk...cowards who believe that any means are ethical if they achieve the ends of the corrupt immoral leadership.

Peace is easy to create, its the process to get there that the extremists desire that prevents its achievement.

I think Israel just might see a different attitude from the Arabs if it would give back the lands it took from them in 1967. Israel has shown a total lack of respect for the dignity of others. It maims , tortures and summarily executes Palestinians and now it is killing Lebanese civilians while claiming this is "collateral damage". Killing of civilians of any nationality (including Israeli) is barbaric. Israel does NOT hold the moral high ground it thinks it does and will never be at peace until it realizes that all people on earth are Gods chosen and thus negotiates in good faith.

First of all, killing innocent civilians is NEVER ok and the people of southern Lebanon are poor, kind people that just want to live their lives in peace. Israel bombs the main roads so they can't escape and then bombs places where there are no Hezballah headquarters. the problem with Israel is that it bombs EVERYTHING. It bombs red cross vehicles directly and it bomb U.N peacekeepers after being warned not to. Anyone that believes these are accidents is an idiot. Israel has broken the rules of war many many times. Why don't you look up Qana for instance? Israel bombed a U.N post killing over 100 woman and children and then they blame it on "sheilding". And what makes 1,000,000 israeli children better than 100 Lebanese children? are you telling me that their lives are less valuable? Why don' you read this http://tyros.leb.net/qana/. Israel isn't exactly defenseless. Lebanon is a small country, even smaller than Israel and i doubt Hezballah is capable of killing one million Israeli children.

*Your obviously far to ignorant to understand the value of life so why bother trying to explain it to someone so moronic? I've wasted my time. It's sad that people like you just want to kill everyone. Have a nice life killing people!

if only we hadn't created Israel after WWII. All the problems in the middle east would be solved. Think about it, almost everything wrong with the middle east is cause by israel, and its not their fault, its ours, and the UN's. We shouldn't have kicked the palestineans off of their land in the 50's, and we should've made israel in north dakota or something. I sympathize with the Israelis, but getting all worked up over two people who were kidnapped? Is it really worth killing all those lebanese citizens who ARE INNOCENT. And theyre not "too stupid" to resist hezbollah, they just arent strong enough, and we need to help them.

They should attack the peole responsable, not defenseless citizens. True, it is hard to tell a citizen from a member of Hezbollah since they don't wear uniforms, but bombing a garbage truck in the Christian quarters of Beirut will hardly hurt Hezbollah. Iran and Syria are the financial supporters of Hezbollah. Israel should attack these countries. Damage their infrastructure and kill their citizens. Then they will not have the funds to feed Hezbollah. But Israel knows that by attacking Lebanon, whose army doesn't even have enough pots to piss in, they are assured of a military victory. But this victory doesn't damage Hezbollah or Hamas in anyway. And it destroys one of the most beautiful scenic countries in the Middle East.

you so just did not call lebanese people stupid i happened to be married to one and hes very smart hes going to be a physics professor soon......its not nice to say that 100 children should die in lebanon to save 1 million in israel its not a fair comparison. and jews want islam off the face of the world, which is what they are trying to do right now. your post lacks intelligence and compassion. u shudnt have said what u said about the children dying i dont wish any israel children to die to save lebanese children. they werent attacked by hezbollah they simply kidnapped 2 soldiers, israel had lebanese people kidnapped first.

No Israel shouldn't just take it,but Israel's response should have been proportional. Israel wildly overreacted here and has done nothing, but further radicalize more Muslims and not to mention the fact cementing its status as a pariah state. There is something wrong when you can't even stop bombing so people can get humanitarian aid to civilians.

Maybe Israel and the US would be better off if they stayed on their own land and quit trespassing and causing mayhem where they aren't wanted and don't belong.

Israel instigated it. They want Palestinians off the face of the earth. I'd like to see them be truly independent. Independent of US taxpayer money bankrolling their crimes.
