Your friend has a good point. The dirt washes off of you while your seated and you continue to soak in that same water until you're ready to get out. Then if you take a bath with someone else you're soaking in their dirt as well. For women, baths are probably worse because our private area has a way bigger opening than men's so all of that dirt and bacteria is swimming right up in the vagina. At least in showers, the dirt and water runs down your body and straight into the drain and you can even wear shower shoes if you're afraid of foot fungus.

No because there are some parts that a shower just can't get too like a bath. In a bath you also soak many parts whereas a shower simply washes over the body, now a shower with a hand attachment would be better.

Baths and showers both get you clean but I suggest taking a shower at least twice a day and take a HOT, HOT bath whenever you want to unwind, this will take care of killing any bacteria and fungus that you may be worried about will end up on you. My boyfriend is half Japanese and they believe in taking scorching hot baths because it wards stress off. Also, you can take a bath, but before you get out of the bath, just stand up and run the shower on you so it will wash off anything you are worried might still be one you. Its like ending a bath with a quick shower.

A shower is not only more hygenic, it also uses less water and leaves you feeling much fresher
I used to love a long soak in a bath, but I can honestly say that I have not had a bath for 10 years! I shower twice a day instead!

actually, i believe that you can get just as clean taking a bath than a shower if not more. a shower is very quick and it requires your hands to do the cleaning, not to mention that you have to depend on the shower stall to get wet. in a bath you dont have to only soak. you can bathe but if you sit in the tub for more than an hour and you expect to be clean than you get dirty but if u simply clean yourself and get out you should be ok. the soap usually traps the dirt so when you rinse off the soap just slides off your body with the dirt!

Its a matter of opinion. Personally If I take a bath I rinse off with a quick shower . Its a little icky for a girl not to , especially if she has shaved her legs, etc. in the bath.

Logically showers are definitely more hygienic than baths..In a bath you fill stagnant water in the tub and sit in it and wash your body..where do you think the dirry water goes? alternatively i guess you could take a bath for the purpose of relaxing and then shower after..

I think some people are forgetting, that bacteria is inside your shower head as well and when you first start up your shower the first lil while is shooting out lil bit of bacteria.. so no one can completly be clean in a shower or a bath.

I believe baths and showers are both a good form of getting clean. I mean when you get out of the shower germs and dust and stuff get on you any way so are we ever really fully clean lol! Besides do you know what fish do in the water? LOL!!
