If you believe in some kind of existence after death, what will it be like? What do people / souls / spirits / whatever do all day after they die but continue to exist in some form? Is it really all fluffy white clouds and playing a harp for the good people and non-stop torture and pain for the bad ones? Or is there more to it than that?

We can speculate to death but will never know for certain. It is for us to find out once we get there. Best thing to do right now is to live your life the best way you can ... !

My reality on this is as folllows: When your body dies, you as a spiritual being, leave the body. You are now a being without a body and still have your personality and memories, etc. It is almost guaranteed that you will go through a processing stage where your memories are blocked so that you do not recall having been here before. Then you are returned to pick up a new body, usually in a maternity room these days! There actually is no heaven or hell, so don't worry about that. You simply come back and do it all over again.

I picture a rainbow that I could hold in my hands, then all before me burst into a hues that stretch outward for as far as I can see, beyond the galaxies into the incomprehensible nothingness that lays beyond and all is seperate and all is one, swirling into the colours that flash and dazzle me. It has no end, its too fast; too far away, then too close to focus. Words mean nothing at all, all is feeling; endless feeling; endless feeling of love. That's it, we'll all know in the end; because it's the beginning again.

I believe we are spiritual beings having a 'worldly' experience. After we leave this body we either go to a place of total peace and harmony or total chaos and destruction, depending on if we now love life, people and respect our Creator or become selfish and unloving.

When we die, we live truly uninhibited by our vessel, we have true choice, unaffected by matters outside our realm, free of restraints we shape what we wish into our own design. In our afterlife we choose wether to inhabit the mortal plane once more or just stay in complete control of alll factors metaphysical.

You leave the dead body and go nowhere specific, you might look for an available body like in a maternity ward and come back again, ghosts just hang out getting bored

The theory that that seems the most plausible to me is:

What we are living/experiencing now.. is actually Hell... And until we get it right.. we are doomed to keep repeating life down here... or variations of it. Only when we learn life's lessons and accomplish what we're meant to.. do we get to move on...
