Guess what? It's my 11th wedding anniversary next Sunday. I think your wife would understand your predicament. Just get her a single red rose and take her breakfast in bed, then do all the household chores for the rest of the month! That's spoiling her!

Congratulations! I have been there wondering what to do for a gift with little or no money. It's rough, but I am going to tell you what my most favorite thing that my Hubsand gave me and it didn't cost a penny. For my birthday when we didn't have two pennies to rub together, he made me a huge birthday card. The kids had a peice of poster board left over from a school project, he borrowed their markers, and he made me the most precious card. Hunt around the house and find something to make her a card, don't have any drawing talent, believe me my Husband doesn't either, he drew stick people. If you can't find yourself making her card, then write her a thank you card for the last 23 years. Something-anything you write from the heart will be her most treasured gift. I framed my card after we got on our feet, and it hangs in our bedroom. I also framed several of his love letters that he wrote. If you just have to have a gift, then go to the dollar store, and get a pretty baskets and fill it with bathstuff and girly things-lotions, pretty soaps. Then after the bbq, send her off to the tub for a soak while you clean up! You said this is the first year you haven't spoiled her, you can treat her like a queen and that doesn't cost a cent. Congratulations again, and I wished every husband worried about things like this, because there would certainly be less divorces in this world. What a very sweet man you are, and she is lucky to have you. God bless us all.........

Don't worry about the gift, as most people don't make to the 23 rd year. You two have something special that money can't buy and that is love. Get her a nice card. She is a lucky lady. If you have enough by the end of the week get her a red rose and she will cherish it/ If not don't sweat it as she will always remember what she has with you. We women aren't picky as long as we have your love. Cherish each other.

since you are not financially stable now why don't you try something different like writing her everything about your feelings for her in a paper, how important she is for you and how she was able to mold you in a better person or for being who you are right now...be so creative with your letter...you should show to your wife how artistic you are...then just prepare with a simple candlelight dinner ...give it to your wife...prepare also with a pen and an extra paper the same paper of what you are using...after she will be able to read your letter, ask her also to write all her feelings for you, how important you are for her and everything nice about you...ask her to write anything about you and your relationship then you will going to put your letters on a box then try to bury the box in your garden then tell her that you will love her for the rest of your lives and if ever something might happen ....anytime you can get the box where you bury it and then try to read again all the things you write for each other to reminisce all the happy days and for sure that would make you happy

Doing something sweet is much more important then spending a bunch of money. When she comes home one night spoil her with a hot bath, a foot massage, make her dinner, play nice music. You could do that with stuff that you already have in the house.

Keep yer chin up lad. The collage Idea is good but she might be upset at all her wedding pics being cut up. Why don't you find a really good photo, frame it and put it on the wall. We spent a knacking fortune of wedding photos and they're stuck in a box. She might appreciate the sentiment lad.

Have a good un, get them Stellas chilling!

Teach1's Idea aint bad...(forget the chores mate)

Spoil with affection and love. Buy something cheap but with meaning. A blank card and write why you have loved her for the past twenty-three years.

She'll understand, man. Instead of a gift, why not write her a long love letter, telling her how much you care for her and how important these past twenty-three years have been to you? A real, sincere love-letter would probably thrill her, because she knows you mean it.
