your PiN code is a 4digit code to lock your sim card this code is usually 1234 if your phone asks for a PUK it means the incorrect pin has been entered to many times and the only place to get a PUK is from your carrier don't guess at your PUK or you'll need a new sim card there about $20

The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is needed when a security PIN number has lost.To request a PUK code, contact your service provider ,or from the shop where you bought the phone.

Before you completely lock yourself out of your phone call Cingular! I locked myself out and then had to buy a new sim chip for my phone. All of my phone book info was lost because I couldn't get it off the locked sim chip.
