Why do so many people think Kobe is a rapist?

What motive? What evidence? I personally think their is a silent belief that blacks are animals in nature that is making people jump to believe he did it. I don't think this is an accurate view however and I think it stems from the media and the thugs that smoke pot and sniff coke all the time, who sell drugs making whites think blacks are animals.

Right on David Ray. I think she thought she could muster up a law suit and get rich quick. I think the NBA ball players need a body guard. It's not just the Black, the white player are vulnerable. I am white and I don't like people assuming all whites are against blacks. I have Irish ancestors who were kidnapped in the 1600's an taken to Barbados and the America's to serve the aristocrats of the time. I'm against the rotten people that created slavery. I have one black friend and she is dear to me. I come from a county that probably has only 4 0r 5 Black families. Kobe was prove innocent and I figured that was the truth.

I feel the same way! I don't know what's wrong with people these days, some girl just wants to get rich off of a basketball player, I'm so sick and tired of this, and yea I guess they think us black people are animals, who just plan their daily life on raping people and doing other bad things. If it was a white person she was accusing everybody would've thought he was innocent, but it just so happens to be a black person and everybody thinks he's guilty.
Don't listen to all these other people, they werent their in the hotel with them. Why would Kobe rape a girl when he could have just about every girl in the world?

I think the main reason why people think that Kobe is a rapist is because of the media spin on his situation. I, personally, think that whatever happened between him and that woman in Colorado (I think it was) was consensual. I agree with you, I don't think this is an accurate view either but, it always seems like when a Black celebrity or a celebrity or athlete period, for that matter, makes a mistake the media goes into a frenzy and blows it out of proportion.

No way was it a black thing...it was a 'star athlete' thing.

If enough people say something for a long enough period of time, then it becomes easily associated with the person in question.

For instance, if I accused Mr. Basketnutz of 'huffing kittens' and I called every newspaper, and they splashed it across the headlines, well next thing you know...everyone thinks Basketnutz huffs kittens.

Of course the next day there would be a thimble-sized 'correction' stating that Mr.B does NOT, in fact, huff kittens. But simple folks only read the headlines, not the retractions.

That beeing said, I think she just wanted some money in a lawsuit! Thats all it was and shen figured that everybody will be on her side because he is black and people hate that interracial stuff. Face it, Kobe could have any pussy he wants so why would you think he would rape a 19 year old white girl when he can get a ******** by an 18 white girl anyday of the week? I don't necessarily believe that Kobe is a rapist but it is a bit suspicious that two women both filed a suit against him for rape, and he settled with both of them. His conduct seemed to imply that he was guilty. Why else would he offer the women money to drop the charges? Why else would he take his wife on a hugh shopping spree and buy her tons of expensive jewelry immediately after the lawsuits became public?
To me, his attitude towards the lawsuits was more defensive, if he didn't do anything than he should have said so and challenged the women to prove their stories. But he didn't, he told his laywers to make a quiet settlement and pay them off.

I can't understand why some people don't believe he is a rapist. It's true that blacks still have and probably always will have an animalistic mentality, but I think that money and fame also play a big part in them thinking " now that I'm rich and famous I can get away with this ".

I am white and I agree. I do not think he rapped this girl at all. I think she was willing and when it was all said and done saw $$$$$ signs. She is nothing but a hoe!
