Does anyone know the fines or charges against misrepresendation?Well you tell me if this would be charged....My 13 year old neice made a fake e-mail about Dakota Fanning.
Well she was e-mailing this kids blog site about being a celeb blogger and they cought her and reported her to the real Dakota Fanning's agency. And supposedly to Yahoo as well.Well the woman in charge of the site whom she first e-mailed said she reported her to the F.B.I.I think that is unbelieable but who knows.
Could she face charges??I mean she's 13!

her guardian could face charges for negligence, as well as charges from the company. since she is a minor, her guardian is responsible for her protection, as well as her actions.

Wait for the FBI to contact you. If they do then explain.
You could reply to the lady from the site and apologize.

The most important thing is that your niece should learn from this. You are feeling the pain from this - she should feel it too. Have you caused any consequences to her as a result of this, such as restricting her computer use?

I've asked a 12 year old here, who says your niece needs to have some extreme consequence so it makes an impression on her, like having to go to court. But only to get told not to do it, rather than being put in jail. Perhaps if you know some authority figure who you can trust, you could ask them to talk to her about the seriousness of it. When I say someone you can trust, I mean trust them to talk to her without reporting it to the police themselves.
