Im too poor to see it live..I've only seen it on film. My favorite is the "I'll cover you" reprise.

I saw the play when it first appeared, and I loved it. It was exciting and I felt like I was seeing something new - and the actors were all very passionate about it as well.
Then I saw it again a couple of years later, when it was on tour. It was still good, but less thrilling. I chalked it up to having seen it before.
Then I saw the movie, and I didn't care for it at all. It felt dated and irrelevant to today. I wonder if that's because I was the same age as the characters the first time I saw it, and now I'm older than the characters. When I first saw it, it was relevant to my life, and now it's not. It's not surprising to me that RENT's big fans currently are people in their teens and twenties. I think that's who it speaks to.
I do wish that in the movie they would have hired actors who were the appropriate age for the roles they were playing. I understand wanting to have as many of the original cast as possible, but they are all too old for those roles now, as good as they may be.

I love it! It's such a revolutionary musical with amazing ideas. The theme of living for today is so moving. The characters are real and involving, the music is catchy. The story is sad yet uplifting. I just love the show.

I love it. The songs are wonderful. I went out and bought the soundtrack as soon as it went on sale. I would love to play the part of MiMi, she was my favorite character.
